Pack 756 has been meeting in Fayetteville, NC for more than 24 years and continues to grow strong due to the dedication of its volunteer leaders and parents like you! We all believe that Scouting is an important part of the physical, mental, and spiritual development of our young boys.

Pack 756 is in the Kia Kima District, one of eleven districts that make up the Occoneechee Council, Boy Scouts of America. Occoneechee Council is the largest BSA Council between Washington, DC and Atlanta, GA, and is comprised of 12 counties in North Carolina . We are chartered annually by the National Council of the Boy Scouts of America, which is chartered by the Congress of the United States of America!

Galatia Presbyterian Church sponsors pack 756.

Pack 756 wishes to express our most heartfelt thanks to Galatia Presbyterian Church for their continuing support to scouting and our pack.

Packs Latest News

Gleaning

This past Sunday about 46 members of the Pack went to a local sweet potato farm and collected nearly 4,000 pounds of left over harvest. The collected produce from this service project went to the Fayetteville Food Bank. They will be used during the holiday season to provide food for those less fortunate than us. It is a great opportunity for the boys and families to participate in something that is bigger than all of us, helping our fellow man.

Aluminum Can Fund Raising

We are on our way! To those families that have brought in and collected cans, thanks you. Be creative, if your not a house hold that drinks from aluminum cans, get out there and see if there is anyone in your neighbor hood that would be willing to contruibute. I think this is a great idea and having the Scouts get out there and make a difference in our environment and make a difference for someone else in the Pack.

Leader Training

I am working with the district to arrange for Leader Specific trining in the Pack for adult leaders interested. I will need to know what position your interested in getting the training for. I can tell you from experience, if you want to understand Scouting better and you want to be a productive leader it is important to get training. Every Scout deserves a trained leader.

Popcorn

Well, we are getting ready to wrap up popcorn sales. It looks like we are going to have a great year. That is good for the all of us and we will have the funding to continue expanding the program and ensuring our Scouts are getting the most out of what is offered. Next Monday everyone needs to bring in their money and popcorn that was not sold. Dan will be available during the Den meetings and after. I will get all the information from Dan concerning how all the Scouts did. I will get them the incentives I promised at the fist Pack Meeting. I am looking at sometime in November to take all those Scouts that qualified for the pizza dinner.

Volunteers!

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer please see Dave or Jon. There are many opportunities for you to help in the Pack if you want to. You can have a great impact on the youth with as little as two hours a week.

Current positions we are looking seeking volunteers for:

Assistant Popcorn Kernal.

Training Chair on the Pack Committee.

Activities Chair on the Pack Committee.

Treasurer on the Pack Committee.

There are many other positions available but the aforementioned are crticle to the future of the Pack!
